Team GB end World Championships with seven medals after relay double

Great Britain ended the IAAF World Championships with seven medals after the men and women’s 4x400m relay quartets both clinched bronze on the final day in Beijing.
Martyn Rooney produced an outstanding last leg to pip Jamaica on the line by 4,000th of a second for the men after Christine Ohuruogu, Anyika Onuora, Eilidh Child and Seren Bundy-Davies had all completed solid laps to seal third for the women.
Team GB finished fourth in the table, going one better than their total of six medals at the previous World Championships in 2013.
