The explosion ripped through the building on the Rotherwas Industrial Estate in Hereford this morning (right), sending flames, debris (left) and funnels of black smoke shooting into the sky. Eyewitnesses reported seeing gas bottles, shredded tyres and chunks of metal exploding into the air amid the thick, black plumes as flames spread across the premises. Nearby businesses were evacuated as a precaution, as firefighters fought to control the blaze. Firefighters are said to still be on the scene, in an attempt to dampen down the smouldering debris. Joe Rollinson, 32, who works nearby, said it was 'a miracle' noone had been killed. The building is believed to belong to a company called Commercial Vehicle Repairs.
